Welcome to

August 7-11, 2017

Anaheim, California

National Youth Convention evening services will be live-streamed in two locations at 7 PM PST:

Why Anaheim?

110 years ago, the greatest spiritual awakening in the United States, the Azusa Street Revival, changed the course of US and global history. The founding preacher William Seymour prophesied that over 100 years later another revival, more powerful than Azusa, would take place. From August 7-11, 2017, we are summoning students and leaders of the Assemblies of God to the birthplace of the Azusa Street Revival to ask, “what if..."

...church leaders and parents set their hearts on pilgrimage (Psalms 84:5) and make it a priority to be at Anaheim17?

...all Fine Arts participants, regardless of whether or not they advance to the national festival, travel to Anaheim to not only be filled with power from the Holy Spirit, but also wisdom and knowledge (Exodus 31: 2-6)?

...youth groups determined to reach Anaheim through the national AIM trip and left a city forever changed?

...20,000 students shared in the National Youth Convention experience and left Gospel-Centered, Spirit-Empowered, and Personally-Responsible for the mission of God?

These are the questions WE are asking God to answer at Anaheim17. What if YOU are there?

Speakers & Guests

Heath Adamson

Senior Director // Assemblies of God Youth Ministries // Springfield, MO

At the age of 17, Heath’s life was dramatically transformed by an encounter with Jesus. Steeped in drug abuse and the occult, he came to believe in Christ for salvation. Heath is the product of one person who believed in a promise, and who continually prayed for him. Years later, Heath married that one person. Heath and his wife, Ali, have two daughters, and together they endeavor to leave a legacy for generations to come.

Heath has served as a youth pastor, district youth director, Youth Alive missionary, and now the senior director of Youth Ministries for The General Council of the Assemblies of God. With a growing global platform, Heath also chairs Empowered21’s Next Generation Network and is intrinsically involved with the World Evangelical Alliance Youth Commission.

Heath is the author of three books distributed through My Healthy Church. His first book, The Bush Always Burns, released in March 2015. He holds an MA in Leadership from Evangel University and is a PhD candidate in Religious Studies at Chester University.

Fearless BND

Lead Pastor // Fearless LA // Los Angeles, CA

Fresh, unique, innovative, and most definitely eclectic, Fearless BND is the sound of what happens when young, creative believers are asked to get personal and dig deep. “We sing it from a personal place, out of our own pain, triumphs, devotion and gratitude,” Christy says. “And we believe God is the God of excellence and power, and that he reveals his power through music and through excellence. It’s not just about relevance or ‘keeping up,’ which puts us in competition, because as sons and daughters, we’re not in competition for his glory. And excellence is not looking around but looking in, at what you have in your hands. We want to blow [people] away with excellence, not just with technology but with whatever God has place in our hands.”   The stories behind the songs of Fearless BND—as the story of Fearless LA itself—reflect a move of God, not born of glitz and glam and achieving acclaim in a city full of stars, but born out of encounter with grace. “We’re seeing so many people getting saved, finding new life and new birth in this place. Their world is being revolutionized, so they’re writing from that struggle, fighting for the dreams in their hearts,” says Jeremy, who has seen nightclub staff, security guards and club patrons encounter the truth of Jesus at Fearless LA.   “At the end of the day,” he says of Fearless BND’s mission, “it’s the words that impact us. Where two or more agree around truth, it’s truth shifts the atmosphere and opens hearts.”

Hear From Dr. Beth Grant

Heath Adamson- Hello, my name is Heath Adamson. I’m here with Dr. Beth Grant. You know, the gospel of Jesus Christ emphasizes something known as justice. Dr. Grant, why is justice important to the heart of God?

Follow Signs? | Signs Follow.

Read the sign! When driving, a red octagon with bright white letters spelling S-T-O-P leaves little confusion on what to do next. Go to any mall or shopping center and odds are good there will be signage indicating what stores are there.

Hear From Dr. George O. Wood

Heath Adamson: I’m just curious, what in the world is the significance of General Council in 2017 being held in Southern California? Dr. George O. Wood: Well, there are multiple reasons for that. One is the last time a General Council was held in Southern California was 1983...

Why We Gather

History has proven that when people gather, things happen. People around the world gather every day in various locations. It can be three people having a conversation on the sidewalk, or groups of fans attending a sporting event. Thousands gather in New York’s Central Park regularly, but not always for the same reason.
